1 / 1

Back in 2011, I got the chance to create illustrations and designs for Nike. It started when Colin Strandberg, a graphic designer at Nike at the time, came across work I had done for Upper Playground, the San Francisco-based art and streetwear brand. He reached out, and I started designing t-shirts for Nike that pulled from vintage illustrations and logos buried in their archive.

That work eventually made its way onto the walls of Niketown Chicago on Michigan Avenue. The mural was a mix of my illustrations alongside others, covering the space with hand-drawn Chicago references, Nike history, and sports culture. Seeing my work blown up that big inside a flagship Nike store is still one of those moments that's hard to top.
