Make Believe Clothing Co. was a clothing brand I started with my friend David Blaise, the bassist from This Providence on Fueled by Ramen. We met in Seattle when I was working at Squad Studio and David was in town with his band writing an album. We hit it off and launched Make Believe together around 2009, starting with tees, hoodies, and tanks before growing into custom cut-and-sew.

The brand ended up in some unexpected places. Kristen Stewart, Justin Bieber, and a handful of other celebrities were spotted wearing it, with paparazzi photos making the rounds. We were featured in People magazine and even made it onto Jay Leno. It was a wild ride for something that started between two friends in the music scene. We ran it until around 2013, and while the original sites are long gone, you can still find the brand on Instagram and scattered across the internet.
